State of the art interpretation based on 3D geophysical modeling and inversion using UBC codes is completed. Interpretation includes 3D inversion of government airborne magnetic data (200m spacing between lines), using Mag3D program (UBC).
The inversion of magnetic data allowed to reconstruct the geometry of peridotite complex in 3D including the dip angle, which was unclear otherwise.
This is followed up by 3D inversion of ground Low frequency EM data (collected at 50 m spacing) acquired in summer 2010. The inversion is done using EH3D program (UBC). The results of the two inversions are combined and subjected to a-priori constraints in order to delineate drilling target. The a-priori constraints include the knowledge of bedrock geology based on prior drilling results and ArcGIS data. The interpreted new drilling target lies in the metavolcanic complex on the ridge of NW-SE trending conductor, interpreted to have depth to top equal to 80 meters and to be continuous below the zone of sensitivity of geophysical data.
